App: Pet Medication Reminder

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Pet Medication Reminder ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

The App is a mobile utility application for iOS. It allows you to log, track, and view data related to pet medication scheduling and dose tracking. Data is stored on your device, and the App is fully usable without an account. Backup to our servers is optional and off until you sign in and choose it.

3. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the App. Your data is stored on your device. If you sign in and back up, an encrypted copy is uploaded to our storage. The copy is encrypted on your device with a key we never receive, so we cannot read what is in a backup. You may delete your account at any time in Settings, which removes your account and every backup it holds, across all Cairn apps that share the account.

You are responsible for backing up your device. Cloud backup is a convenience, not a guarantee: we do not promise that a backup will always be available or restorable, so keep your own device backups as well. If you delete the App or your device is lost or damaged and you have no backup, your data cannot be recovered.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers optional in-app subscriptions that unlock additional features. All subscriptions are managed and processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not directly process any payments.

• Subscription terms (pricing, duration, trial periods) are displayed in the App before purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, and each renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings » [Your Name] » Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.
• Restoring purchases is available within the App's settings.
• The one-time Lifetime Unlock does not renew. "Lifetime" means the life of the App, for as long as we support it, not the lifetime of the purchaser.
• Pro includes a monthly allowance of AI-assisted requests. Lifetime Unlock holders get a smaller allowance than subscribers, and the current amount is shown in the App. The allowance is measured by what each request costs to run, so longer requests use more of it, and AI features may pause for the rest of a day if the service reaches its daily limit. The allowance is a fair-use allowance and may change with reasonable notice given in the App or on this page.

5. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the App: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App

6. Not Veterinary Advice

The App is a record-keeping tool. It does not provide veterinary or medical advice, and it does not decide what medication your animal should receive, at what dose, or for how long. Those decisions belong to you and your veterinarian. Reminders, schedules, supply counts and projected run-out dates are calculated from what you enter, so they are only as accurate as the information you record, and they can be delayed or missed for reasons outside our control, such as a device being off, notifications being disabled, or the operating system limiting how many reminders an app may schedule. Never rely on the App alone for a dose that matters. If your animal may have missed a dose, received an extra dose, or is unwell, contact your veterinarian.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use of the App is at your sole risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for any reason. Upon termination, your license to use the App is revoked. Your locally stored data remains on your device regardless of termination.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nebraska, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of that state.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
